lyrics

Cross the bridge
Along Dame Street
Passed The George
Down Wexford Street
That's where we'd meet
I was young and you were too
But you showed me things I never knew
Thought I'd seem it all
Find some money and away we run
Without a care from where it comes

And if it rains well we don't care
There's bars and bars just everywhere
On every street
With a bottle of buckfast in our hands
We sing the songs of our land
From the fair auld times
Take a walk along the Grand Canal
Watch upon the times of now

As the sun goes down over Camden Street
All of the people
All who we meet
As glass it glistens under neon light
Hand in hand we steal the night

As I tried to kiss you on the cheek
My heart it feel right at your feet
As you turned away
You laughed at me, pushed away my hand
Saying "What you doing you foolish man, that's not the way"
"For your too young to understand, just live this moment while you can"

As the sun goes down over Camden Street
All of the people
All who we meet
As glass it glistens under neon light
Hand in hand we steal the night

I love this city, I love these walls,
I walk the streets, I feel them,
I can kills the hours, I can pass the days,
Following the Liffey as it strays,
From Portabello to Lower Rathmines,
To where they built those Luas lines,
To the back end of old Harcourt Street,
Stephens Green lys at our feet,
Through times of trial and innocence lost,
For what it's worth it's been worth the cost,
Your Raglan Road it was so sweet, but I lost my heart to Camden Street

As the sun goes down over Camden Street
All of the people
All who we meet
As glass it glistens under neon light
Hand in hand we steal the night
